Fic, art, vids, fanmixes, recs, reviews, and meta are all welcome here, though we ask you to keep random squee under your Stetsons; structure that squee into a rec/review/meta post for us, and we'll squee with you!

All characters, pairings, genres, and ratings are welcome here. We ask you to avoid character-bashing; everyone in the show is somebody's favorite character!

Please place long fic, image-heavy posts, or anything NSFW behind a cut-tag (see here for how to do that), and if possible, mark posts requiring viewer discretion as such. (See here for how to do that, all the way at the bottom of the page!)

I don't think you can be in fandom on LJ and not hear about due South. It seems to be a fandom where, once you fall in love with it, you will always love it, no matter how many fandoms you go through in the meantime. I think the first person I knew who talked about it much was

norah, but over the years I saw lots of people who liked the show.

Last year over the winter holidays I was desperately trying to finish some last-minute knitting (I went one for three on planned sweaters), and asked for closed-canon TV series recs.

synecdochic suggested due South, and since I'd always been curious, I picked it up. I was hooked pretty much immediately, and fell really hard for Fraser. I liked Ray Vecchio and the first two seasons, but I really loved Ray Kowalski and the latter part of the series.

I've been writing due South for the past couple of months, and you can find my fic under helens78 at AO3, or at

helensfic (due South tag here). :) I, um, seem to write a lot of angst. There is certain to be hardcore kinky fic in the future. I also have this bunny where Victoria Metcalf was a vampire who turned Fraser when they were stranded in the blizzard, Diefenbaker is a werehuman, and Ray Kowalski is a recovering bite-addict, but I have to convince myself to write it down...

*leaves a bushel of carrots out for your bunnies*
